Macy

This is my second character on Mushroom Groves. Her name is Macy, and she's a Pedigree Irish Water Spaniel. She's out of my normal comfort zone, and I thought something with curls would be fun.

I'm so lazy. The coat texture is all different effects in Photoshop Elements. There's three in there total. Also, I made a more interesting background then for Tenderfoot, but it still only took me like 15 minutes to make. *laziness* Anyway, here are her stats:

History (at least 2 paragraphs): The pick of her litter, a product of the best two dogs Wicker Weave Water Spaniels had ever produced, Macy was named after the song by Macy Gray, called I Try. Her owners were exstatic when she became a champion at eleven months, especially since her parents hadn't produced very good offspring up to then. Also, Macy's litter was the last before her parents were retired. She quickly became the kennel's pride and joy, admired by many a breeder. She's not just a show dog, however, going out at least twice a week to get in the water. She's very athletic and absolutly adores the water.

Despite her friendly nature, the other dogs in the kennel are rather jealous, especially the one littermate her breeders kept. Some of them had never even placed in a breed competition. Others could never find the bumper used to train them to retrieve. Some were jealous because they would end up in pet homes, while others knew that the breeders weren't as proud of them, even if they did title. When her kennel mates are especially mean, Macy will often go and sulk in a corner. Because of some of the bullies in her own house, she's very fragile at times, unable to stand ridicule.

Personality: Very friendly at first sight, she can usually judge others correctly after only a few minutes of conversation. If she sees an underlying mean streak, she will usually turn the cold shoulder, though she will still speak if spoken to. If she senses a good soul, she's always willing to make friends. She hates bullies and will stand up to them if their attention is directed at others, though if she is ridiculed, her confident mask will crumble.
