Tenderfoot

'Kay first time using the new upload system. It's a little weird, but I'm figuring it out okay.

Anyway, I joined the roleplay ~swiftwhippet has been at for some time, Mushroom Grove. This is my first character there, a Whippet/Scottish Deerhound/Belgian Malinois Lurcher who's running with the feral dogs. Here are his stats:

Name/Callsign: Tenderfoot (also called Scruff, was actually named Wilson by his mum's owner)

Age: Three

Gender: Male

Neutered/spayed?: Nope

Breed: Mutt/Lurcher (Whippet/Deerhound/Belgian Malinois)

Eye color: Light Brown

Peltings(markings): Irish marked masked blue-brindle (woo, long ain't it)

History (at least 2 paragraphs): Tenderfoot got several aspects from each of the breeds of his ancestors. He got the long legs and shape of the sighthounds, with upright ears and a thick tail from the herding half, as well as thicker, less fragile bones. He got his coloring from the Whippet, and the scruffy, wirey hair of a Deerhound along with his height of 29 inches and hefty 100 pound weight.

His litter was the result of an accidental breeding, and his pedigree mother's owner was furious because he had paid too hefty a stud fee to end up with pups that weren't even purebred. Still, he figured out who the father was after some searching and was kind enough to find good homes for the litter. Tenderfoot was very resistant to being adopted, though, and ran away from his new owner when he was three months old. He joined up with a pack of wild dogs who taught him the ropes. His name stems from his early days in the pack where after running with the pack all day, he would end up with blisters on his paws. He thought the name was rather funny, so he accepted it.

He's been captured several times by SPCA workers, but after being adopted (and he always makes sure he's adopted, he knows how to work the humans), he always finds some way to escape. After such occurrences, he tends to loose his old pack and has to find a new one. He would probably go back to the one he had come from, but his sense of direction is far from the best. He knows the best places to get food, but he can never remember where he last saw his friends.

Personality: Up-beat and outgoing, Tenderfoot is easy to like. He has a good sense of humor, and can usually roll with the punches. He can fend for himself rather well, with help from his size, and is definitely not afraid of people. He's very friendly, in fact, which is why he often gets food directly from people's hands.
